Nice win for the Wildcats U18’s on Saturday at Joe St Denis Field. Our squad won their home opener 34-14 vs the Brampton Bulldogs. They start the season 1-0.
The game started out well for the Wildcats, with a long rushing TD by St Thomas Aquinas student RB #7 Hunter Holmes. The second year running back led the team with 12 carries for 195 yards. He also had two touchdowns. St Mark High School senior and second year OSFL receiver #4 Kohlman McIntyre led the receiving corps with 91 yards receiving and one TD.
Special teams were led by first year Wildcat and St Mark High School junior #70 Abbas Gedeon who kicked one field goal and converted 100% of his PAT’s. First year returner and St Francis Xavier (Ottawa) student #6 Logan O’Hagan scored on a 125 yard punt return touchdown.
Defence was led by first year Wildcat and St Thomas Aquinas LB #44 Lucas McGuire, he led the defence with 3.5 tackles on the day. Third year Wildcat and Tagwi Secondary LB #9 Marc Labossiere had 2.5 tackles on the day. Second year Wildcat and St FX University DL #95 Ryan Jaquemet was disruptive all day.
WEEK TWO sees our Wildcats travel to Kingston to take on the 1-0 Grenadiers. Game Day is Saturday May 23rd at Richardson Stadium. Kick off at 6:30pm. The Wildcats lost to the Grenadiers in the 2025 OSFL AAA quarterfinals playoffs.
