NCAFA PREVIEW

Week 1 of the 2019 National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) season begins. The Wildcats have been part of NCAFA since 2006, and this season is shaping up to be one of the busiest yet. The Wildcats are fielding five teams, and game day action is set for Saturday August 17th, with all teams on the road.

The TYKE (U10) division is led by Head Coaches Kirby Camplin & Dan Legros, and has 27 players spread over two teams. This ever competitive age group plays 6on6 football and has been one of the top tyke programs in NCAFA since 2015. They were league finalists in 2018, and have been to the NCAFA “A” Cup finals for four straight seasons. The Wildcats field two tyke teams.

The MOSQUITO (U12) squad is led by veteran Head Coach, Chris Leonard. This age group had 5 wins 3 losses in 2018, and looks to build on that success. With some key returning players we expect big things from this age group.

Head Coach for our PEE WEE (U14) is Kirby Camplin, this is his second year at this age group. There is lots to build on for the squad that won the NCAFA “B” Cup Championship last November. Some dynamic players remain with this team despite a large graduating class.

BANTAM (U15) is back! Head Coach Robbie Taillon leads the team this season. This age group is back from a three year hiatus, and we are excited to be part of an interlocking schedule. Our squad will compete not just with NCAFA teams, but also with teams from the Quebec Bantam Football League (QBFL).

Good luck to all our athletes and teams! We look forward to watching our top local athletes compete at the highest level of football for this area.

Go Wildcats Go!!
